1. Lingenfelter Performance – 8.71 at 162mph:
Lingenfelter Performance Engineering has done it again. This time they started from scratch with a completely purpose-built racecar. Using ported LS7 heads and an LSX block, Lingenfelter adds some serious boost with an NMCA LSX Real Street class-legal 76mm turbo. A solid roller and Big Stuff 3 engine management put this car beyond the realm of any other fifth-gen out there. With more track time look for these times to drop even lower.
2. Jon Ebert/Lingenfelter Performance Engineering – 8.99 at 158mph
Lingenfelter lays claim to the first ever 8-second fifth-generation Camaro and is also the only 6-speed manual transmission car in the current top 5 list. Powered by a TVS2300 blown 377-cube LS9 with two stages of nitrous, the LPE rocket makes over 1200-rwhp and is currently the fastest 2010 Camaro in the world.

This new shop, working in conjunction with American Racing Headers, is coming out of the gate with guns blazing. An F-1R, built motor and TH400 helped the full-weight car run a 9.42 at 152 on its very first track outing.

David Brooks, owner of the first ever 9-second 2010 Camaro, has showed no sign of slowing down, running as fast as 9.50 in his 427 cubic-inch ProCharged Camaro, built by Late Model Racecraft. Lately the crew has been chasing some problems, but we expect to see David’s Camaro make some more passes in an attempt to regain the number 1 spot.
6. Owen Priest/Advanced Racing Dynamics – 9.82 at 146mph
Owen Priest has finally got his nitrous-huffing 468 cubic-inch LSX running strong, and there is no going back. The 4L80E-equipped beast uses a single stage to rocket down the track in street trim. Look for big things in ARD’s future with this car.
7. Paul Murphy/Lingenfelter Performance Engineering – 9.84 at 144mph
Another 427 cubic-inch rocket, Paul Murphy has piloted his TVS2300 supercharged entry to the number 6 spot on our list. With 909-rwhp, Paul’s LPE LS7 flies thanks to a built RPM A6 transmission, a custom Coan converter and an LPE 3.70-gear rear end. This is also the only car in the top 5 with drag radials.
8. ST Motorsports – 10.11 at 139mph
Amazingly, the number 7 spot on our list belongs to a Camaro with stock exhaust manifolds, catalytic converters, suspension, axles and gears! The ST Motorsports entry does, however, have a forged 6.2L under the hood, with a massive 3.6-liter Kenne Bell and 28x10-17 slicks.
