This white Firehawk was entered into two different classes. Tim Jewel placed second in both classes, running mid-10s all day long. | Joe "The Underdog" Overton makes a nice launch, on his way to another mid-9 second all-motor pass. Joe waves his LT1 flag proudly on LS1TECH. | Steven "Wormboy" Fereday warms up the slicks on his low 8-second Camaro. Hey Steven, how can you see over that hood? |
Allan Futral giving us another nice launch shot. | Battle of the all-motor Camaros! Tom Hunt and Joe Huneycutt give the crowd something to watch, as both yank the wheels hard in Super Stock. | Tim Jewel grabs some air in his Firehawk, as Dave Moss gets a front row view from his GTO. |
Allan Futral shows us what a six-speed LS1 can do off the line. By popping wheelies, Allan saves front tire wear. | There was a good battle of nitrous cars in Extreme Mod. Ray Litz in his 408ci with nitrous Trans Am against Ken Quartuccio in his spraying 383ci Camaro. | Talk about confidence! Joe Overton entered his all-motor LT1 into the power adder class, and caught Ken Quartuccio sleeping at the tree. Joe's car wasn't quick enough to hold off Ken's low 9-second pass though. |
Two Steves. Two 8-second black cars. Two turbocharged LS1s. Only one Steve could win Pro Modified though, and that was Mr. Fereday in the Camaro. | In the finals of Super Stock, Allan Futral pulled past Tim Jewel after an awesome launch by both of them. | In the finals of Extreme Mod, Ken Quartuccio ran a 9.52 against Joe Overton's 9.60. It was a very close race; Ken would have never heard the end of it had an all-motor LT1 beat his nitroused LS1. |
