From May 18-20, crowds braved the heat and traffic again on Route 85 outside of Atlanta en route to the Year One Experience at Road Atlanta in Braselton, Georgia. This year the folks at Year One had something special planned: They had been putting in some long hours to make the Burt Reynolds Edition Trans Am a reality, and for its unveiling they had even planned to have the Bandit himself on hand. This limited run of '77 Trans Ams will be available in several option levels, and will even be available with the mighty LS7, as well as other go-fast goodies like a 12-bolt rear, coilover shocks, and big brakes. As the result of this announcement, Trans Ams of all ages flocked by the masses both to Road Atlanta and to Year One's nearby facilities for the unveiling. In addition, there was the usual mix of hopped-up old school and new school rides showing off in the car show, the autocross course, and Road Atlanta's challenging 2.54-mile Grand Prix road course.
