Chartered clubs are pitted... Chartered clubs are pitted against each other in the annual push drags where teams of four and a driver race to achieve the fastest 60-foot times. With temperatures in the 90s and a sticky surface, the members of SSOAR (SS of Arkansas) prevailed with an outstanding time of 6.48 seconds to win in a photo-finish over The HERD (Illinois) with a time of 6.486 seconds. Shown here is SSOAR eliminating SAIL (San Antonio Area Impala Lovers). Although not pictured, the members of the Smoky Mountain Impala SS Club squeaked out a victory in the Chartered Club challenge over SSOAR via a tiebreaker they won in the drag race.
