After 9-second cars such as Kevin Polchan's '98 TA and Daniel Gonzalles' '03 Vette met an early demise, it left Ron Roberts' 402 Camaro and Phil Niedbaiski's stock cube '02 Camaro as easily two of the fastest cars in the semifinals. When Roberts failed to get under a tenth in proximity to his dial-in, the weight fell on Niedbaiski's shoulders, who ran a 10.99 (a hair away from his 11.00 index).
