Driver/tuner Wade Stevens and car owner Andre Avigdor came all the way from Ontario, Canada, with this 'Bird. The iron 402 is topped with ETP LS7 heads and has a ported LS7 manifold, 105mm TB, and 98mm Precision Turbo. Originally built for the Canadian Fastest Street Car Shootout, it was clear it fit in well in the U.S.: Stevens was the number 3 qualifier with an 8.03/178, and defeated both Chad Smith and Bill Maloney to make it to the semis. "Drag radials are tricky!" he quipped, and even though he boosted to a 7.91/177, it wasn't enough to take Kempf out, who ran a 7.82/186, and beat Wade on the tree. View Related Article
