Let's just say the week leading up to the LSX Shootout was ... interesting for Harrison Township, MI resident Tom Kempf. The Tuesday before LSX, the Kempf team was testing at Norwalk and stuffed it into the wall after a low 8-second pass. Only problem was, they were supposed to leave for Memphis on Thursday, and there were lots of things to fix and parts to replace-we'll just mention the front suspension, passenger door, and seriously mangled frame (over 3 inches at the door jamb) so you get the picture. Work began Wednesday afternoon, and the car was fixed and ready to travel Thursday at 6 p.m.!
