LS Motors - LSX Shootout
Tom's Red Rocket is powered by a 400 LSX block (see elsewhere in this issue to follow the build) and relies on ETP canted-valve heads to inhale 26 pounds of boost from a Precision Turbo 101mm hairdryer. Set up by Joe from Stenod and with Harlan manning the BS3 controls, the Rocket was able to run straight and true during qualifying, eventually coming in at the number two spot with a 7.85/185. Tom had perhaps the toughest road to the finals as Ken, Mike, and Wade gave him good races, but Kempf's 8.00/187, 8.04/185, and 7.82/186 took him to the finals to meet Paul Major. View Related Article
