OK, so that last part was stolen from an A-Team episode ... but just a week after the biggest LSX event ever held, GMHTP did host its own Reader Appreciation Day on October 20th that gave locals a chance to sample what they may have missed in Memphis and even meet the editors and their project cars. A few lucky readers shook hands with head honcho Rick Jensen and Contributing Editor Chris Werner-and took a gander at Project 1SC-YA, as well as Werner's 383 LS1 WS6 Trans Am and the C6. As per usual, our home-away-from-home Old Bridge Township Raceway Park hosted the event in spectacular fashion, providing a wellprepped racing surface and plenty of yummy track food. Participants from the tri-state area left with heartburn, plenty of fried rubber in the wheelwells, and, hopefully, a few smiles and lower e.t.'s.

Part of the GM High-Tech scuderia...

Part of the GM High-Tech scuderia of project cars was on display, including Jensen's 1SC-YA and Werner's C6 and WS6. We would have liked to bring the LT1 Formula and Jensen's 10-second Turbo-T, but they were in the shop being prepped for future show-and-go articles.

Loyal readers and enthusiasts...

Loyal readers and enthusiasts alike hailed from New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and even Virginia for a day of fun in the sun at Raceway Park in Old Bridge Township, NJ.

Edward Melendez's '02 Z28...

Edward Melendez's '02 Z28 was one of the gems we found while perusing the parking lot. This mint, low-mile Camaro has an RK Sport carbon-fiber hood, Lambo doors, 20s, Eibach lowering springs, and a Xenon body kit.
