Despite the inflating gas prices and a deflating economy, there was yet another impressive showing at the 2008 Year One Experience May 16th, 17th, and 18th. Over 450 participants entered in the car show, autocross competition, and made parade laps around Road Atlanta's famous 2.54-mile Grand Prix road course. Close to 2,000 miles were hit on the trip odometers of the Skip Barber instructors' cars, leading the many participants around the challenging 12-turn course at a pace just fast enough to be fun, but not fast enough to be dangerous. A few mishaps were inevitable, but, all in all, a good time was had by the participants and the 4,000+ spectators. Thanks to the crew at Year One for the invitation and another fun couple days in the sun!
