This Ken Duttweiler original was purchased by John and Marka Gallina and Len Freeman at the 2006 GS Nationals. The Gallinas and Len Freeman, seasoned racers themselves, acquired this vehicle with one thing in mind: they wanted to go 6s! They have experience in breaking records: John and Marka are NHRA record holders and know how to go fast. The Gallinas and Len Freeman joined forces with Ken Duttweiler to build this record setting V-6. With Len Freeman behind the wheel and Ken Duttweiler building and tuning the engine, everyone knew this car was something special. On the last day of the '08 GS Nationals, our dream came true in the final run of the Big Gun Shootout. The car ran 6.98 at 197 mph! The future plans for this car are to run in the 10.5 Outlaw series of the Pacific Street Car Association. We are looking to run 7.0s at 200 mph in our class.
We would like to thank everyone involved in helping us with obtaining our goal. Special thanks to: John and Marka Gallina, Lisa Baca, Tim Freeman, Jessi Freeman, Dan Berry, Crew Chief Jan Moeller, and last but not least: Jake Hartline-Len Freeman
