The GM Performance Parts LSX Shootout is embarking on its third year, and through the support of the NMCA's marketing partners we are positioned to make this 3rd annual event bigger than ever. Last year we saw some great side-by-side heads-up LSX drag racing. Beyond the heads-up segment we witnessed an overwhelming turnout of LSX index competitors along with an equally impressive showing of LSX car show and vendor participants. This year's Manufacturers' Midway once again will host several LS-specific manufacturers and dealers, offering you a chance to see the most new and innovative technologies for your LS-powered machine.
This year, the NMCA along with GM Performance Parts, and GM High-Tech Performance magazine are dedicated to improving the fan experience. When attending this year's LSX Shootout you will not only be afforded the opportunity to experience the LSX competition, but you will also be exposed to some of the wildest, heads-up, street legal drag racing in the world with the NMCA/Edelbrock Drag Racing Series Finals being contested the very same weekend. As a fan you will be granted access to the pits where vehicles are tuned and prepared within easy reach of the spectators and this will always be a primary feature that NMCA is committed to maintain as an added value benefit for its customers.
At any NMCA event you will have the opportunity to see some of the finest muscle cars and hot rods in the world. The Car Show and Shine has grown to become a much larger dynamic of the NMCA experience over the years and the ability to come in close contact and communicate directly with the owners of some of the most awesome vehicles in the world is a draw in and of itself.
This year we are anticipating and preparing for even more vendors and swappers to attend our LSX show in Memphis. Once again Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center will be representing GMPP as the Shootout's host dealer. The event itself has became known for the place to find what's hot in the market with the major automotive aftermarket manufactures who participate on the Manufacturers' Midway at all of our events. The growing number of used parts vendors who participate in the swap meet make the LSX Shootout the place to procure that hard to find part for your vehicle.
Couple all this with the ability to view all makes, models, and brands of automobiles for sale in the car corral and I think you'll agree there is just about something for everyone at this year's event. What takes place on the racetrack is simply the icing on the cake. The wheels-up, bumper-dragging racing is certainly an exciting element, but as you can see there is much more to this extraordinary event.
