It was fun while it lasted. Sadly, the leaking oil cooler lines ultimately gave way and our motor finally kicked a rod. Lucky for us and the entire LeMons staff, it was still running on five cylinders so we decided to rev the engine on the limiter until it blew. Once it did, the glorious smoke and oil that it spewed onto the ground was a sight to behold. In total, we "deposited" over 20 quarts of oil in a three-hour period on the track, on everyone's windshields and in the pits. The judges were most impressed. View Related Article
