2000 7-Second Chevrolet Camaro - Training Wheels
 | A PTE 94mm turbo is the power... A PTE 94mm turbo is the power adder of choice for the moment, but future plans include stepping up to a 101mm. The car's current best 7-second ET is owed to only 12.5 psi out of a 25 psi max, so you can imagine the potential with even the 94mm. | At this level it is important... At this level it is important to have three things: a fuel cell, a fire supression system, and a parachute. For added safety, Dave went with Pro Stock-style dual CO2-powered parachutes, which need to be refilled periodically as seen here. | | We caught up with Dave while... We caught up with Dave while he was making his license passes, which should be completed by the time you read this. Until now, owning a serious race car, not to mention a turbo car, had always been an unfulfilled dream for Dave. However, he has an '03 Z06 he had W2W install a 427 LS2 and TNT F-2 wet nitrous kit to tide him over during the past year or so. | Kurt Urban of W2W did the... Kurt Urban of W2W did the honors on the Camaro's maiden voyage as the crew got everything all dialed in before Dave takes the wheel. Having already driven the first Gen III-powered vehicle into the 6s last year, Kurt was well qualified. A two-step rev limiter kept launch rpm at about 5,000-5,500, which generates only 5 to 7 psi but still a pants load of power with the solid roller 404-cube mill. |
