Underage Stripper
Mike Sigafoos of West Homestead, Pennsylvania may have happened upon the score of the decade-a no options (not even a rear window defroster), 6-speed, hardtop Z28 with only 31 miles on it. The '02 Z had apparently been purchased by a millionaire who never drove it before having a 224/228 duration .588-inch lift cam and long tube headers installed. Mike plans to keep this extremely rare find, to someday pass down to one of his sons. Hopefully they will see the beauty in the 380 rwhp music played through a Flowmaster catback, and feel the reassuring handling from a set of ZR1 rims wrapped in 275/40/17 and 285/40/17 rubber, subframe connectors, strut tower brace, heavy-duty lower control arms, and a panhard bar. A shot of nitrous may be required, though, if Mike intends to keep up with his friend's '03 Cobra.

NYZ06
As if 405 horsepower wasn't enough, Brandon Castellana took his Z06 to new heights with Dart heads, a lumpy cam, and a healthy shot of nitrous. This combination (along with a gaggle of bolt-ons), netted 590 rear-wheel-horsepower and 680 lbs-ft of torque, plus an 11.2 ET at 133 mph (on stock Goodyears). After blowing out his bottom end, the Victor, New York native has turned to LME to build him a fresh 408, with forged internals to handle a 300 shot. The heads have been further ported for the increased cubic inches, and a mega 256/264 duration, .650-inch lift 112 LSA cam will now command the hydraulic lifters and valves.

Don't Mess With Texas
Jeff Kmosko of Fort Worth, Texas shows he has a hot hand almost every Thursday night at the local 1/8-mile track, with his 2002 Z28. SLP headers and air lid free up enough ponies for an 8.27 ET at 86 mph, with a stock automatic and 3.23 gears. SLP subframe connectors, lower control arms, and 17-inch ZR1s with BFG G-Force T/As help the 3,590-pound (with driver) street car get off the line. An SLP line lock also heats up the BFGs on this 30,000-mile Monterey Maroon Z.
