Since autocross events run rain or shine, a set of Hoosier Radial Wet tires in a smaller 275/40R17 size (to combat hydroplaning) is used in conjunction with meaty A6 compound 315/35R17 rubber. The A6 is a full slick with two asymmetrical Formula 1-style tread-grooves for DOT legality, which also boasts crisp steering response, thanks to its lower temperature compound and a nylon and lightweight steel support structure designed specifically for autocross. The round shoulders also complement camber-challenged cars, like F-bodies.
