Shane Downey of Pendleton, Indiana, owns this 2005 Z51 C6 equipped with a B&B Cat-Back, LG Motorsports long-tube headers, an off-road X-pipe, a Procharger D-1SC, and a flipped and relocated intercooler. To keep up with the blown LS2's demands, Mototron 60 lb/hr injectors, billet fuel rails, a Vortech race blow-off valve, TR6 plugs, Taylor wires, and a custom tune using HP Tuners were also added. An AEM wideband O2 and Auto Meter boost gauge help keep an eye on the vitals. Meanwhile, a B&M shifter with a C6.R shift knob helps Shane glide through all six of the T56's gears. The interior has also been graced with an Eclipse touch screen DVD/navigation/CD player, an eight-disc changer, and JL Audio speakers. The exterior has been dramatically enhanced by CCW 19x10- and 20x12-inch wheels mounted on Michelin PS2 rubber, Z06 exterior treatment, an LPE anniversary hood, a 5-percent tint, custom lighting, and a stance 1 to 1.5 inches lower to the earth.

Craig Acampora's 2007 Trailblazer SS is the Imperial Star Destroyer of Edgewood, Maryland, hunting down rebel scum in much-lighter two-seaters. The 2WD SUV happily replaced his '02 Silverado, and has since acquired a custom tune, cold air intake, and LS2 Heat Soak Reduction Kit from Vector Motorsports. A Corsa Cat-Back exhaust was also partly responsible for a 13.17 at 105 mph timeslip despite its 4,900 lbs. Though Craig chose a no-option SS, he has since added an Alpine head unit, Polk component and coaxial speakers, a Rockford Fosgate 320-watt amp, and two JL Audio 10-inch subwoofers. A Valentine One and Dash Hawk adorn the dash and windshield of the SS.
Throwin' Eight Different Kinds Of Smoke
Jeff Karnik of Lisle, Illinois, showed his love of Smokey and the Bandit in a new school kind of way by purchasing this silver 2002 WS6 TA back in '05. He's transformed the TA from stock to solid as a rock in the past two years using a 228/222 duration, .588/.588-inch lift, 114 LSA bumpstick, as well as heavy-duty valvesprings and hardened pushrods from COMP Cams. An SLP underdrive pulley, ported stock throttle body, Kooks 1.75-inch long-tube headers, Y-pipe, and GMMG exhaust make the most of the cam-only setup-enabling 400 rwhp and 370 lb-ft of torque after a custom tune at Speed Inc. A Yank 3,600-stall converter, GVW trans cooler, and TCI aluminum deep trans pan help the 4L60E get the power to the pavement. Sticky 275/40R17 BFG KDW tires mounted on 17x9 Torque Thrust rims, Strano Performance lowering springs, re-valved Bilstein shocks, and a UMI adjustable Panhard bar enable impressive handling.

This desert Goat belongs to Robert Zellhart stationed at Cannon Air Force Base in New Mexico. The Munitions Systems Technician enjoys rowing through his 2005 GTO's six-speed slushbox every chance he can get while on leave from the Air Force. So far, a set of sporty 18-inch VZ Monaro rims and Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 245/40R18 tires are the only mods to date, but soon Robert will be installing a full Pedders suspension, long-tube headers, exhaust, and cutouts to match a Texas Speed heads/cam combo. Just after writing GMHTP, Robert said he would be completing an install of an SLP line lock kit and adding a set of Nitto drag radials to his stock 17s in preparation for the track. He has yet to pop the Goat's cherry, but a baseline dyno test revealed a stout 344 rwhp and 351.5 lb-ft of torque.
