Perry Lowe of Robeline, LA, is the proud owner of this 1999 Z28. He purchased the car stock while doing contract work in Afghanistan. Meanwhile, his heavy-footed minister father was cruising around in the Z until Perry got vacation three months later. The car has been repainted by Kevin's Body Shop. It has a VFN fiberglass hood, halo headlights and black 17-inch Z06 wheels to set it apart. A full Strano suspension setup from the lowering springs to the Koni adjustable shocks-not to mention UMI subframe connectors, lower control arms, relocation brackets, and an adjustable Panhard bar-make the Camaro handle like its on rails, according to Perry. To liven up the LS1, an LS6 intake, Thunder Racing ported throttle body, and SLP cold-air intake increase respiration. The 346-cuber exhales through Pacesetter long-tube headers and off-road Y-pipe, and a Magnaflow catback. A custom tune from PCMforLess dials in the bolt-on setup-and future plans may include nitrous. A B&M Ripper shifter with a Hurst knob and C5 Corvette front brakes make the Z a blast on the street.
