Abe Morales, an Army soldier stationed in San Antonio, Texas, came about this gorgeous '87 Grand National after, of all things, totaling his Mustang during his honeymoon. We don't imagine it was difficult to get over that loss, but during his search for a new car, Abe came across this GN and just had to have it. After some intense negotiations and some luck with a loan officer who happened to own another turbo Buick, Abe was able to purchase his dream car, only to have the brakes fail on the initial testdrive and a head gasket blow just three weeks later. Never one to give up, Abe has already got his Grand National back in top shape and plans on adding a larger turbo, an upgraded intercooler, and a built motor in the future. For now, a couple of key bolt-on parts keep him in front of the local Mustang boys.
