Check out Josh Cutright’s sleek ’99 Trans Am, which he built at home in Saline, Michigan, with a couple of friends and has piloted to a best of 11.76 at 115 mph! Weighing in at 3,750 pounds, Josh’s Trans Am runs well thanks to a custom 230/232-duration, .612/.595-inch lift, 111 LSA camshaft; a set of LS7 lifters, Katech rod bolts and, believe it or not, a set of stock 243-casting heads. Behind the LS1, Josh has installed a Yank SS3600 converter stuffed inside a built transmission and relies on the stock 10-bolt rear to keep him moving. This may be a simple combo, but it is one of our all time favorites for reliable, affordable street/strip fun!
