Lingenfelter Performance Engineering is synonymous with General Motors vehicles and raw power, so Lingenfelter's exciting news of 2014 Corvette Stingray upgrades was far from unexpected. Over the weekend, a video was posted on the LPE YouTube channel showing the new C7 test car on the Dynojet chassis dyno at its headquarters. This test will serve as the baseline before diving into the modification headfirst.
As far as we know right now, the test car is going to be used to develop all of LPE's upcoming C7 performance packages. As a starting point, the Corvette produced 416.80 horsepower to the wheels and 416.30 lb-ft of torque. That's an amazingly stingy 10% drivetrain loss! In case you are wondering, this is a Z51 model with a dry sump oiling system and manual trans.
As always, GM High-Tech Performance will be on hand to cover the project and keep you in the know. Stay tuned to www.gmhightechperformance.com for updates and look for the complete story in the March 2014 issue, due to hit newsstands near you on January 21st.
