Proof? Audi's upcoming Q5, when read as an algebraic expression or as a force on the car market, equals a higher value than the Q7. We worked it out during a day driving Audi's upcoming compact SUV, and the way we figured it, Q times 5 is so impressive a factor it could very well amount to the most successful Audi launch ever in the Americas. I cleaned up the heads today after work and instaled new valve springs and seals. the valve guide bosses are machined for the press on valve stem seals. when i took it apart in had umbrelas on the exhaust valves {i understand, from reading that is common] and the press on ones on the intakes. all of the valves had a small oring in a groove on the stem under the keepers. I instaled Viton umbrella seals on all the valves and did not instal any of the little orings on the stems,i also junked the [i don't know what there called} valve spring hats or shield deflector things, that were originaly under the retainers. the heads have cast iron guides. i am wondering if i will have a problem running ubrella seals on a head that is machined for the pess ones? and if not instaling the tiny oring is a problem? also can i leave that spring hat thing off? I am a professional marine diesel mechanic. sell them, instal them, rebuild them. but i have no gasoline engine background.A engine is a engine when it comes to putting it together, but little stuff like this,i need some help with, thank you chevy guys.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said the recall centers around a fuel tank weld fixture which may have been exposed to a contaminant during production. This could cause a dimple in the bottom of the fuel tank at a spot weld, according to NHTSA's recalls summary of the problem. "This dimple could result in a fuel leak or a fuel drip from the tank," said NHTSA. "Fuel leakage, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire." Wow, let's see if those domestic guys bash ford for their "new fire recall" ( can you say F-150 )

GM is heeding the call as it is preparing a smaller batch of next generation Saabs. The next 9-3 was originally slated to be underpinned by the Epsilon II, but in March GM decided to instead utilize the lower-medium Delta architecture. The Delta platform will also be used for the next-gen Chevy Cruze, which is slated to eventually replace the Cobalt. The end result will be a smaller, lighter, more efficient Swedish sedan. With the 9-3 shrinking, Saab will also need to down-size its planned 9-1, which was originally scheduled to be Delta-based. Speculation has Saab reaching into GM's global architecture bin to use the Gamma platform that currently underpins the Opel Corsa. The idea has legs, too, as the Swedish automaker calls the idea "imaginable." Both vehicles are said to contain small, efficient turbocharged powertrains, which is in line with what Saab already uses. We're all for smaller, more agile Saabs, and killer fuel economy wouldn't hurt either.http://www.autoblog.com/2008/07/23/gm-europe-decides-to-downsize-future-saabs/

Anyone have experience with doing the build up vs an Atlas. The cost of all the parts (4:1 gears, rebuild kit, heavy duty front/rear output shafts, clocking kit and twin stick shifter) is around 1600-1700 bucks + shipping. I can get an Atlas with all the goodies for 2350 shipped.......maybe I just answered my own question. Ok so here is the problem i can start the car and it will idle fine fine and i can rev it up to any rpm fine but after about 20 seconds of letting it even sit it seems to just wanna be retarded. After that short time period is up it will seem to go into like a safe mode it will idle fine but will not rev above 2000 rpm even while driving it wont go above 2000 rpm. also while it is at 2 grand if i try to go higher it will just seem to be like misfiring and will shoot black smoke out the exhaust and it will stay in this safe mode all the way till i turn the car back on ..... OOO and here is the kicker there is no check engine light on at all!!!!!! i need some suggestions here i am going nuts
