The OEM engine blew a piston and the head. I bought a new GM performance LS327 Engine and am looking for a tune file for HP Tunner ( I CHECKED THEIR SITE) or parmeters that may have to be changed in the computer. I am only looking for the stock paremters I would have to change not including procharger. I really need help I have the engine installed and running, it seems to run fine but I am having an issue were the check engine light comes on and blinks when in minor boost. I just need some help no one from HP can help or from GM on the stock parmeters in the computer that i have to change. I was wondering if any of the experts on here can give me something. The motor was still good and I had recently put invested alot of money in the motor and accessories, (a/c, alternator, radiator, fuel pump), so i decided to put the motor and tranny in another body. so, i bought another 95 formula body, but it had previously been a manual set-up. I put my motor, and auto tranny in it. My computer was trash but I got another one from a 95 camaro with auto tranny. Now that everything is in the car and running, when i put the car in drive, it goes into and does not shift from 3rd gear. I can manually shift 2nd and 3rd, but no 1st or 4th. reverse works as well. My speedo doesn't work either. through research I have found that usually means that the tranny is in "limp home mode" because of an electrical connection problem. I figure that is probably a problem caused by something in the wiring harness that is different between the auto and manual. I know that there is a switch in the shifter that i dont have plugged in because there wasn't a connector for it in the manual wiring harness. Is that what is causing this? Also is there an automatic tranny relay or fuse that a manual car wouldn't have? Or do you think it is some other problem entirely? I'm stumped. Please help.

My power goal is 300hp+. Right now i have stage 2, hahn racecraft cat-back exhaust, zzp s3 heat exchanger and gmpp performance clutch and everything else is stock. I was thinking about going a custom setup route but knowing me i will want more power and most likley change it around eventually. So what i was thinking was get the supporting mods out of the way: zzp cold air intake, zzp downpipe and header, gm dual pass endplate, 60lb injectors, devils own meth injection, hp tuners tune and a custom 2.6" pulley. I eventually want to port the stock m62 blower, port my head, build the motor, and spray the car as well. My other question is will i need anything else? What power level would i be at? If anyone here thinks i should get one brand over another please put it out there explain why. I dont want to buy something now and have to replace it later on.

I have a 2002 GMC Sierra SLT with a 5.3L. I just came across a LS4 cam with titanium springs from an 2004 'Vette with 30k miles on it. The guy is having other upgrades done to it which allowed me to buy the cam and springs fairly cheap! I was informed before the purchase from an engine builder that the LS4 cam and springs will fit into my engine to give it a boost along with having it tuned by someone. Is it true that the cam and springs fit, also i was told to look for a LT intake manifold for it as well as it will fit the 5.3L. If true, what vehicles would i look for to find the intake? I'm looking at ordering a 2010 Suburban and am a little confused about some engine choices. There is a 5.3 iron block that's standard in the 2wd, and a optional flex-fuel version of the same iron block. In the 4wd there's a aluminum block version. The iron blocks are slightly higher rated (10hp) but are there any reasons or concerns with either version? Any problems with the flex-fuel versions? Thanks for your help.

The SUV is well thought out and well put together. I knew a lot about this Turbo SUV long before it was featured. A nice feature before this one was I think TuneTimePerformance's TBSS. I don't remember the ET's of theirs but both articles and features were very nice and well put together. All my work from mechanics to tuning and electronics is done by RPM in Garner N.C. These guys house the #1 fastest and quickest TBSS in the Country. It is even noted in the Fastlane article that they are the second fastest. Why not feature "the" fastest? The driver/owner of the quickest/fastest TBSS is Martin Cox and he also owns the record for nitrous stock suspension car. I could be mistaken but I think those guys at RPM with Martin Cox have been 8.11 1/4 mile, one of their cars at 5.07 1/8 mile, and on 275 drag radials. I've also read 1.18 sixty foots. From what I've read about the TBSS, it's been 1.24 sixty and 9.06 in the 1/4 mile and fully streetable with 4 seats and the radio jammin' away. It is also my understanding that the nitrous stock suspension record held by RPM and Martin Cox has been in place for a year now. I read my magazine cover to cover and have seen no mention of such in GMHTP. As a fan of both the magazine and the people who work on my car, where's the love for the top dogs in the country?
