After hand-tightening the rod bolts, insert a feeler gauge between the rods (both sides of the block) to align the cap while being torqued. This shim is nearly the same thickness as the rod side clearance value, but may be a bit less with assembly lube in place. The rod caps should be torqued in 10 ft.-lb. increments up to 60 ft.-lbs. using moly assembly lube. View Related Article
