We weren't too happy with the quality of the SuperRam lid, but we've heard plenty of comments from others along the same lines so we weren't that surprised. The problem is that the casting is nowhere close to being flat and that causes massive vacuum leaks. We know we'll need to spend plenty of time with this later on when the motor goes into Magnum TPI--we'll probably have to use lots of RTV and/or extra gaskets. Some SuperRam users opt to fabricate their own lid from flat aluminum stock--a good idea we think. View Related Article
