Even experienced nitrous users can have problems. Pete Franco of Waldwick, N.J. had been using spray for years on his '85 small-block-powered Camaro when one day he mistakenly ran too high a bottle pressure. This resulted in a lean condition and detonation, breaking off part of the piston on the right.
