Removing the stock pressure plate bolts allows one to pull off the pressure plate and stock clutch assembly from the dowel pins on the flywheel. This is followed by the flywheel itself being removed. It is of paramount importance that the mounting surface then be cleaned, as well as the bolt holes and threads. This stuff experiences some high speed and stress, so any improper tightening or misalignment could be catastrophic.
