Before the Pro Torque converter goes on, Eric demonstrates how to measure the converter-pad-to-flywheel-bell distance. With a stock torque converter, there is usually enough room here to slip a finger between the two to make sure the converter is seated. But since with many aftermarket converters that clearance is much smaller, and you can't always "feel" this distance, Eric likes to double-check it. Use a tool like a small metal pick to check the distance from the converter mounting pad surface on the flywheel to the block mounting face.
