With the trans jacked back up into position with the motor, Jim turned his attention to the LT1's flywheel, where three holes to mount the converter can be seen. One is narrower--this is the lineup hole and should be in the number one (or accessible) position. The first bolt should be installed here. Before you tighten the bolt, pull the converter all the way forward toward the flywheel and tighten down the bolt, making sure the converter is flush with the flywheel. After that you're in the clear, and can continue reassembly in the reverse order that it came apart.
