The job of editor at a major magazine such as GMHTP can sometimes be trying and tedious, such as the case with this past year's SEMA Show in Las Vegas and PRI Show in Orlando. Many hours of company-expensed exotic massages couldn't make up for all the back pain that resulted from the miles upon miles of carpet we walked schlepping brochures and catalogues of this year's best new products. (And to all of the cool booth guys we stopped to chat with, sorry 'bout that whiskey and cheap perfume smell from the "night before,"...I swear you need Fast Orange to scrub it off.) As difficult as it is to pay attention to car stuff with half-naked models walking around everywhere, we managed to wrangle up 20 new parts that you've got to have for your late model EFI GM. Check these bad boys out--and for those of you planning on hitting Vegas in the future, remember this: if an attractive young lady in your hotel throws a smile your way--it'll probably cost you

LS7 Engine Wiring Kit with Computer
If you've been aching to get your hands on one of the most powerful production V-8s ever made, then you'd better pick up a wiring harness and computer to go with it. A simple four-wire hook up will allow you to drop an LS7 into virtually any car. Best of all, Speed and Performance will tune your computer based on application, tranny, rearend gears, and modifications. As of publication, Street and Performance said they had cracked the code for the 2006 computer, but were currently working on the software. Other LS7 products such as headers, brackets, and oil tanks are also on the way. Street and Performance, #1 Hot Rod Lane, Mena, AR 71953; 479/394-5711; www.hotrodlane.

STS C5 Corvette Twin Remote Mount Turbo System
Don't all the best things seem to come in pairs? C5 Corvette owners can now count turbos among them with STS' new remote mount system. The kit circumvents the extremely cramped engine bay, and locates the twins in place of the mufflers (behind the rear axles). STS says installation should take approximately eight hours and boost power by 55 percent. With fuel system upgrades, a front mount air-to-air intercooler, and tuning, the MSRP is a reasonable $7,995. Plenty of other goodies are available including a Sequential Methanol Injection and electronic boost controllers as well as a (stripped down) Tuner Kit for $6,995.
