Using FAST XFI to manipulate the spark and fuel tables, Golen got the 402 tuned for a 50/50 mix of 93 pump and 104 unleaded race gas. Once dialed-in, he let 'er rip on the Land and Sea dyno (after breaking in the motor using Kooks' 1 7/8 headers to vent the exhaust). When all was said and done, the totals were 597 hp at 6,500 rpm and 560 ft-lb of LS7-eating torque at 5,000 rpm. These peak rpm and totals are indicative of the streetable cam Golen carefully chose for this build.
