By virtue of its incorporation of the new bulletproof GMPP LSX engine block (see a full technical review of this block in our February 2007 issue), features like a six-bolt head pattern, priority main oiling system, and high-tensile-strength cast iron are inherent in the block. Details are still being finalized on this engine, but look for the possibility of a stand-alone EFI system as well.
