Strange S60 Moser M9 Rearends Abs Sensor
The ABS sensor is unplugged atop the 10-bolt. In the alternative, you may unplug its harness from the frame at the junction seen at the top of this photo. The sensor itself comes out via a 10mm. The brake lines are disconnected at the junction on the frame so they can come out with the rear. Note there is only one line running from the master cylinder up front because of this car's three-channel ABS (which does not modulate the driver and passenger side rear brakes independently).

Strange S60 Moser M9 Rearends Springs
The antiroll bar endlinks are disconnected, then the mounting brackets are unbolted so that the bar can come off (have someone ready to catch it). Note that the factory U-clamp portion of these mounting brackets can't be reused, as the hefty Strange axle tubes are larger in diameter. The Panhard rod is then disconnected from where it meets the axle assembly on the driver side and is left hanging from the frame on the passenger side. Now the springs slide out (and easily so, since these are lowering springs-stock springs would be harder to remove without disconnecting the shocks). Also visible here is the white three-channel ABS plug disconnected earlier, which is the only electrical plug found on this car's rear.

Strange S60 Moser M9 Rearends Control Arm Bolt
The rear lower control arm bolts come out. With these removed, the last thing holding the rear in will be the shocks, so you may wish to support the centersection with a trans jack at this point (or regular jack, if you aren't fortunate enough to be using a lift). While pulling out the rear LCA bolts, also disconnect the parking brake cables from both their engagement levers on the brake backing plates, as well as where they slide into the "LCA brackets" that straddle the back of the LCAs (this point is just visible behind the disconnected Panhard hanging vertically in the photo). The parking brake cables can now hang free until the new rear is installed.

Strange S60 Moser M9 Rearends Jackstands
Since the shop trans jack was temporarily on assignment elsewhere at the facility, the TTP crew opts to drop the rear onto jackstands, undo the shock bolts, and lift the car up. Goodbye (and good riddance) 10-bolt!

The old rear is then stripped of its brake lines. This involves removing the bolt at the main junction and bending the factory retaining tabs to release their grip on the lines. The calipers (which can be left attached to their mounting brackets) are unbolted from the stock backing plates and pried off. Using this method, the system comes off as one piece, including the LCA brackets that held the parking brake cables (and which the regular brake lines go through as well).

Strange S60 Moser M9 Rearends Rearends
The GM and Strange rears meet for the first-and last-time, as this 10-bolt is on its way to long-term storage (and eventually, probably the scrapyard). Despite the GM rear being closer to the camera (and therefore creating an illusion of perspective), it's easy to tell that the S60 has a much beefier centersection, along with larger-diameter axle tubes. If one looks closely, a few nice details are evident on the S60-like how Strange has already welded on antiroll bar brackets and has included factory-style brake line holding clips in the same locations as stock. Also note how a breather has been pre-installed in the beginning of the passenger-side axle tube (tan, just barely visible).
