LT1 Engine Swap - Revival
 The stock water pump was reinstalled...  The stock water pump was reinstalled with new gaskets, a 9/16-inch socket, and 33 ft-lb. |  With the new motor on the...  With the new motor on the dollies and the wiring harness laid out like so, we were ready to drop the body back onto the motor and front subframe. But would the 15-year-old chassis cooperate? |  It actually did, we had to...  It actually did, we had to go back through the process of reinstalling the alternator/power steering/A/C bracket with the motor halfway in. Meanwhile, the brake lines on the driver side were guided into their respected space, and eventually the steering shaft was slid back into place as well. |  The Y-pipe took quite a bit...  The Y-pipe took quite a bit of manipulation to get it to fit, and to be honest we weren't happy with its clearance (or lack there of) of the 3-inch LS1 driveshaft. So we'll be fixing this in the near future. |  All the fluids were topped...  All the fluids were topped off, and the motor was treated to conventional 10W30 bought at the local hardware store along with a Zinc additive, as Race Krafters instructed us. The Zinc additive gives extra protection, but is no good with cats--so we'll have to ditch this habit if we put a converter back on. |  Last, I uploaded the tune...
