To install the new proportioning valve we converted the master cylinder's rear pressure line from metric bubble flare to 45-degree double flare. While the factory rear brake line is 6mm, we chose to adapt down to 3/16-in. line as it can also be flared with tools designed for a 4.7mm line for which adapter fittings are readily available. The 3/16-in. is perfectly acceptable for rear disc brakes. To support the prop valve we cut off the mounting bracket from the original prop distribution block and reinforced it with 18-gauge sheetmetal. The front line now runs into a T-fitting, which splits off to the left and right front wheels. View Related Article
