Although Comp offers a new valvespring package specifically designed to complement its LSR camshaft line, it wasn't available in time for our build. So we called up our friends at Manley for a set of their fantastic NexTek springs (PN 221436-16, $265). These fully polished, shot-peened springs are manufactured from "super clean" high-tensile chrome silicon steel and are treated to a proprietary multi-step heat treatment to minimize load loss over time. Rounding out the package is a set of lightweight titanium retainers (required in lieu of steel retainers thanks to the mass of the large L92 intake valve; PN 23623-16, $223), locks (PN 13098-16, $62), and spring seats (PN 42334-16, $76). View Related Article
