Using non-adjustable rockers makes purchasing the correct length pushrods even more critical. To measure what is needed, the crank is turned to the #6 firing position, which places both lifters for this cylinder on the base circle of their lobes. Pushrod length checkers are utilized and we come up with 7.390-inches on the exhaust and 7.380-inches on the intake. Factoring in the tiny amount of play left atop the length checkers as well as the required preload for our Comp lifters, we estimate our required pushrod length at 7.425 inches.
