With the oil pump tightened in place, we test fit the windage tray. As expected, a few of its holes need to be egged out to fit over the ARP main studs, and once the tray is on, we turn the engine over to evaluate clearance between it and the rod bolts. Sure enough, there's some interference, so the tray is hit with a chisel at the points of contact to afford a bit more clearance, and washers are used to space the tray away from the crank further.
