The installation begins, and the first order of business is to locate and tap into the fuel pump wire at the PCM, which on our '99 is dark green with a white tracer. We verify using a multimeter that this wire gets 12V whenever the car is running, and for only about 2 seconds when the ignition is turned on (without starting the car). Fearing issues with PCM heating if we were to solder into this wire, we opt for a crimp connection but use plenty of silicone dielectric in there to ward off corrosion. View Related Article
