Given the vacancy in our Formula's engine bay while it awaits an LT1 swap, we couldn't resist BMR's offer to put one of its tubular K-members in place of the factory stamped steel version. While a K-member is tasked with providing a place for the engine and front suspension to mount, it's only held in place by six easily accessible bolts. BMR recommends a lift for the task, but it's not unreasonable to pull off the swap in a typical garage so long as the engine is adequately supported and the car is on jack stands high enough to allow the K-member to slide under the car.
