With the trans jack in place (and safety chain in use!), the bolts holding the trans crossmember can come out once again, and this time for good. You'll need only a 16mm socket; the 14mm nuts securing the crossmember to the trans mount can stay in place if you'd like--the crossmember actually makes for a good grip point to pull backward on the trans. Also at this time, make sure all electrical connections going to the transmission have been disconnected. View Related Article
