[27]With the transmission install complete, we grabbed a factory S-10 3.73:1 ring-and-pinion from the junkyard and installed it in our otherwise stock 10-bolt rear to make up for the gear we lost with the trans (2.52/1.52/1.00:1 in the TH350 versus the 4L60E’s 3.06/1.62/1.00/0.70 ratio gears). While we don’t have room for the install notes here, we recommend you check out “10-Bolt Basics,” which we ran in the August ’10 issue of GMHTP, for tips and tricks on this type of install.
