After sliding the transbrake spool valve into place, the electric solenoid was screwed into the block. When the transbrake is engaged, the solenoid activates the reverse circuit. This allows engaging First gear and Reverse at the same time, and bringing the full wrath of the motor against the torque converter off the line. View Related Article
